It’s the age-old question – which guests (dead or alive) would you invite to your dream dinner party? Some of the top answers might surprise you…
With freedom day here and restrictions lifted, which guests would you invite to your dream dinner party? Well, the internet has spoken–and here’s the VERY interesting definitive guestlist.
Catering hire specialists Allens have compiled the ultimate dinner party guestlist, analysing the most common answers in conversations and discussions from online forums, blogs and news articles. Featuring personalities from the present and past, if the guestlist is anything to go by, this dinner party would be memorable to say the least…
Topping the list as the most popular guests were Jesus Christ and Leonardo Da Vinci. The two icons of history were the most common answer, followed closely by Albert Einstein who tied with grandparents – possibly an indication of the impact Covid-19 has had on our priorities.
Famous actors were the most common genre of dream guest, with historic American presidents (Obama topped the list) and musicians following closely. Other popular guests ranged from famous authors like George Orwell and JK Rowling, world leaders (including dictators such as Adolf Hitler and Jospeh Stalin) and family members.
Potentially balancing out the heavier vibes from Hitler and Stalin, comedians including Bob Mortimer, Jimmy Carr and Ricky Gervais were popular guest requests. Models, artists and composers were the least likely to be invited.
Controversial guests included former US President Donald Trump, Hannibal, Jack the Ripper and Saddam Hussein. Great thinkers such as Aristotle, Freud and Greta Thunberg were also popular with those looking for an intellectually stimulating evening.
Lene McGuinness, Marketing Manager at Allens Hire, commented on the final list; “It’s been interesting to see who we’re all keen to having dinner with! With lockdown easing and restrictions looking to lift from today, we’re anticipating more requests and orders relating to private dinners and events.
Whilst there’s some questionable attendees on the definitive guestlist, it’s nice to see grandparents and family members scoring so highly- we expect family get-togethers to be high on the agenda once lockdown restrictions are completely lifted, with garden parties and bigger events such as weddings finally able to go ahead.”
Allens specialise in providing high quality catering equipment and furniture hire for both business and consumer events.
