An independent creative design studio in London has finished work on a series of window displays for leading opticians chain Specsavers.
Sizzle Design London designed and implemented bespoke installations in the windows of Specsavers stores in Epping, Hatfield, Barnet, Wembley and Maldon.
Owner Zahra Falasiri said: “We like to work sustainably and use recycled materials wherever possible, so I was delighted to find several boxes of dummy lenses that were about to be thrown out.
“We managed to create various design pieces using those dummy lenses for Specsavers, who were thrilled with the result.”
In another project, for an independent optician in St John’s Wood, Sizzle used the same material and turned over 2,000 unwanted lenses into a transparent curtain.
Falasiri added: “The client wanted some privacy for the reception area by the window without blocking the natural light, and a handmade installation made of lenses seemed to be the perfect solution!”
Sizzle Design London, based in Potters Bar, was launched by Iranian-born Falasiri in 2017.
It has also provided its window display and interior design services for a variety of other businesses, including hotels, shops, restaurants, cafés and office spaces.
“We can come up with any sort of creative design ideas – I know how to compromise in order to fulfil a client’s brief within their budget,” said Falasiri, who graduated from University of the Arts London.
“The difference with us is that we are a passionate, small and very caring company, where everything is bespoke and mostly handmade.”
