Eight additional songs and a 26-city North American headline tour: the Carly Rae Jepsen Day and Night universe has expanded considerably this week with the release of Day and Night (Continued), an extended edition issued through Interscope Records.
The expansion divides its new material evenly, four songs to each of the album’s established day and night sides. It is a tidy structural decision, one that preserves the original record’s internal logic while doubling down on what Jepsen has made a near-habitual offering to her audience: the considered B-side package. Where other artists treat leftover album sessions as streaming fodder, dropped quietly into a playlist, Jepsen has turned the practice into something closer to a curatorial statement, a second sitting at the same table.
The new tracks and what they bring
Leading the night side is ‘Love Depressed’, designated as the focus track and already circulating as an official audio release. Two further additions, ‘Reaching for a Star’ and ‘Yes’, will be familiar to a small number of listeners: both appeared previously on the Japanese CD edition of Day and Night. Their inclusion in Day and Night (Continued) brings them onto global digital streaming platforms for the first time, which for most of Jepsen’s international fanbase amounts to a genuine first encounter.
There is a physical dimension to consider as well. A vinyl edition of Day and Night (Continued) is planned as an exclusive release for Record Store Day Black Friday 2026, available at independent record stores on Friday 27 November. The format suits the project: an album organised around two distinct moods translates naturally to a double-sided object you have to turn over.
The Carly Rae Jepsen Day and Night Tour: dates, presales and milestones
Alongside the expanded record comes the announcement of the Day and Night Tour, promoted by Live Nation, running across North America in spring 2027. The run opens on Thursday 15 April at Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, Alberta, and concludes on Saturday 29 May at MTELUS in Montreal, taking in 26 cities along the way.
Several stops carry particular weight. The itinerary includes Jepsen’s first headlining appearances at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, and Madison Square Garden in New York City. Whether you read those venues as waypoints or as destinations in themselves, they mark a meaningful escalation in scale.
On the ticketing side, according to the Live Nation Newsroom, Verizon will offer customers in the United States an exclusive presale for the tour as part of Verizon’s loyalty programme, Verizon Shine. That presale window for select US shows runs from Monday 5 October at 10am local time to Tuesday 6 October at 9:45am local time. A separate Artist Presale follows on Tuesday 6 October at 10am local time; to participate, fans must sign up by Sunday 4 October at 11pm ET.
The full run takes in Vancouver’s Orpheum, Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, Red Rocks, Madison Square Garden, and a string of mid-size theatres across the south and midwest, before heading into Canada for the final stretch through Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. It is a routing that balances prestige rooms with venues that reward the kind of intimacy Jepsen’s songwriting tends to generate, whatever the capacity.
Day and Night (Continued) is available now on digital streaming platforms. Fans seeking to join the Artist Presale must register before Sunday 4 October at 11pm ET.
