The Orange Blossom Revue returns to Lake Wales, Central Florida, on 4 and 5 December 2026 for what organisers describe as its biggest year to date, with Spin Magazine reporting a two-day lineup anchored by St. Paul & the Broken Bones and JJ Grey & Mofro across soul, rock, folk, bluegrass and Americana.
Its origins are modest: it began as a barbecue fundraiser for the Lake Wales Rotary Club before growing into an annual cultural gathering presented by Blossom Charitable Foundation, Inc., with proceeds directed to arts education and recreation programmes for children and families throughout Lake Wales.
The headliners and what they bring
St. Paul & the Broken Bones close out the opening night on 4 December. Frontman Paul Janeway’s impassioned vocals lead a sound that moves across gospel-tinged ballads, psych-funk grooves and cinematic rock flourishes. The band has appeared on the same bills as The Rolling Stones, Lizzo and Black Pumas and played major festivals around the world.
JJ Grey & Mofro headline the closing day on 5 December. Grey, a Florida native, has built a reputation for vivid, personal songwriting rooted in his experiences growing up in North Florida since releasing his debut album, Blackwater, in 2001. His songs move between redemption, hard luck and the celebratory spirit of life among friends. Speaking to The Ledger, a Lakeland, Florida-based newspaper, in 2023, Grey said: ‘It’s not just putting bands together because they’re hot right now.’ He added: ‘I mean, a concert like this gives folks a deeper connection to the music and the musicians.’
A full cast across two days
The 4 December bill also includes Trousdale, the trio of Quinn D’Andrea, Georgia Greene and Lauren Jones, whose blend of indie pop and country influences is documented on their album Growing Pains. Hiss Golden Messenger, the Grammy-nominated project led by North Carolina singer-songwriter and producer M.C. Taylor, brings folk, country, soul and gospel to the stage alongside its poetic, emotionally resonant songwriting. The Heavy Heavy, formed by Georgie Fuller and William Turner and based in the UK, add psychedelic rock and vintage soul to proceedings, drawing comparisons to classic rock acts. Wyatt Waddell, Bombargo, The Gnarbuckles and Tru Phonic complete the 4 December programme.
The 5 December supporting lineup gathers further range. The 502s, described in the source as ‘the happiest band on Earth,’ bring upbeat beach folk; formed by a group of friends in Maitland, Florida, they have grown from informal jam sessions into a touring act. The Travelin’ McCourys, brothers Ronnie McCoury on mandolin and Rob McCoury on banjo, carry a bluegrass tradition learned from their father, Del McCoury, one of the genre’s most influential performers, while remaining open to modern influences. Vincent Neal Emerson adds storytelling-driven folk and country drawn from life on the road, Texas honky-tonks and street busking. Steeln’ Peaches, Slap Dragon, Jordan Foley and Remedy Tree round out 5 December.
