The first wave of Lollapalooza South America 2027 headliners is here, and the names assembled across the continent’s three editions represent one of the more eclectic festival posters of recent memory: Travis Scott, Charli xcx, the Killers, David Guetta, Queens of the Stone Age and the Neighbourhood leading the bills for Chile, Argentina and Brasil.
A Broad Lineup Across Three Countries
Lower down the posters, the range is genuinely broad. Rawayana, SOMBR, the Prodigy, Fontaines D.C., Dominic Fike, Geese, Cage the Elephant, Malcolm Todd, Four Tet, Raye, Slayyyter, Lola Young, Leon Bridges, ADELA and Violet Grohl all feature among the announced acts, a sweep of sounds that moves from Caracas indie-pop to French house to Dublin post-punk within a single bill. The breadth reflects what Lollapalooza has consistently done in South America: treat the region as a serious market rather than an afterthought, building lineups that mix global draws with artists commanding real audiences across the continent.
Lollapalooza Chile and Lollapalooza Argentina will both run 12–14 March. Argentina sets up at Buenos Aires’ Hippodromo de San Isidro. Chile, meanwhile, returns to Santiago’s Parque O’Higgins, a venue with considerable history for the festival. According to EL PAÍS English, Parque O’Higgins hosted Lollapalooza Chile from its debut in 2011 through 2019, before the festival relocated to Cerrillos Park in the western part of the city for the period between 2020 and 2025. The festival returned to Parque O’Higgins in 2026, and the 2027 edition continues that homecoming. For long-standing attendees, the park carries the weight of the festival’s founding years in Chile, and the decision to stay there feels like a deliberate statement about identity and continuity.
Lollapalooza Brasil follows a week later, running 19–21 March at São Paulo’s Autódromo de Interlagos. The 2027 edition will mark the festival’s 15th anniversary in Brasil, a milestone that lends the lineup selection a certain retrospective pressure alongside the expected forward momentum.
Lollapalooza South America 2027 and a Wave of Continent Firsts
Several artists will be making their first appearance at Lollapalooza on the continent across these editions, among them Angine de Poitrine, Julia Wolf, Ninajirachi, the Avalanches and Die Spitz. For a festival that has run in South America long enough to celebrate a 15th anniversary, the presence of genuine first-timers at this level of the bill is a useful reminder that the programming team is still looking outward rather than recycling familiar names.
The Avalanches’ inclusion is particularly worth sitting with. Their recorded work has always operated at a remove from the straightforward festival-rock logic that dominates these posters, built from samples and layered textures that take on a different character under open skies. How that translates to a South American festival crowd, in the context of a bill also featuring David Guetta, will be one of the more curious propositions of the March weekend.
Queens of the Stone Age, for their part, have spent enough time at the harder end of festival programming to know how to hold a headline slot on their own terms. Their presence here, alongside Charli xcx and Travis Scott, maps out the range the organisers are working with: a festival trying to hold rock, pop and electronic music in the same frame without collapsing into genre incoherence.
Berlin Also Moves Forward
Separately, Lollapalooza Berlin has confirmed the first three names for its own 2027 edition. Robbie Williams, the Neighbourhood and SOMBR are announced for the 17–18 July dates, with the Neighbourhood and SOMBR both appearing across the South American and European legs. Full lineups for all editions are expected to develop in the months ahead, with the South American festivals now carrying a substantial first wave to build from.
