A decade on, OneRepublic Oh My My anniversary arrives quietly and without ceremony: a surprise digital release, a documentary no one had seen coming, and six tracks that had never made it onto a streaming platform. The expanded edition of the band’s fourth studio album, originally released in October 2016, lands as a 22-track set, the original 16 songs followed by a half-dozen bonus recordings making their debut on digital platforms.
What the Deluxe Edition Actually Contains
The additions are varied in texture and intent. A stripped version of ‘Let’s Hurt Together’ sits alongside a string arrangement of ‘Better’ and a previously unreleased cut called ‘Colors.’ Rounding out the bonus material are ‘The Less I Know,’ a SeeB remix of ‘Kids,’ and a BUNT. remix of ‘Let’s Hurt Tonight.’ Together they reframe an album that, on first release, drew attention through its singles: ‘Wherever I Go,’ ‘Kids,’ and the brooding ‘Let’s Hurt Tonight.’
Accompanying the OneRepublic Oh My My anniversary release is a 17-minute documentary, now live on YouTube, built from footage that had never previously been made public. The film follows the band through the recording process as it unfolded across 16 cities in 12 countries, with planes, buses and hotel rooms pressed into service as studios.
A Record Made on the Road, Across 18 Months
That itinerant method was not merely circumstantial. According to Last.fm, production on the album began in 2014, during the band’s third tour in support of its previous record, Native, and continued across 16 countries over approximately 18 months. The documentary makes that process visible in a way the finished record never could: a band working against the grain of the conventional studio album, assembling something piece by piece from whatever space was available.
Native, released in 2013, had included ‘Counting Stars’ and established the band’s reach considerably. Oh My My arrived three years later as a more atmospheric, layered record, and the OneRepublic Oh My My anniversary release invites a second hearing with that backstory now fully in view.
A Busy Year Before the Tour Dates Land
The anniversary edition does not arrive in isolation. The band has had a productive run in 2025, releasing ‘Need Your Love’ in April, then ‘In Your Eyes,’ described in the original material as its fourth collaboration with Alesso, in June. ‘Pay That Toll’ followed in August, along with a collaboration with Sofi Tukker on ‘Tsunami.’ The band also brought its debut album to vinyl for the first time via Dreaming Out Loud (Deluxe Edition). In September, it headlined the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s Fireworks Finale across two nights at the Hollywood Bowl.
What follows now is a series of appearances on the 2026 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour. The band will play select dates including Los Angeles, Chicago, Detroit, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and Nashville. inMusic Blog reports that the Chicago date is set for 7 December at Allstate Arena, while Billboard confirms Washington D.C.’s show will take place on Monday, 14 December at Capital One Arena.
For a band that made Oh My My by refusing to stay still, a tour that hops between major American cities in December carries a certain symmetry. The OneRepublic Oh My My anniversary edition, with its documentary of restless recording and its quietly surfaced bonus tracks, is less a commercial repackaging than a belated explanation of how the album came to exist at all. The Jingle Ball dates begin in December 2026.
