Aged 16-25?
Want to use music to make a difference?
In December we announced that Sound It Out has been awarded £173,000 funding by
v
, the youth volunteering charity, towards VOLume. VOLume is a new project which will enable young people to get positively involved in their communities through music.
Sound It Out is now recruiting young people aged 16-25 across Sandwell and Birmingham who are into music to get involved in VOLume. The project will offer opportunities for young people to volunteer to use their passion for music, and with support and guidance, to enable other young people to take part and get positively involved in their communities.
Through the 3 year VOLume project we are looking to engage 135 young people and will provide over 180 new volunteering opportunities, as detailed on the attached PDF flyer. We would be grateful if you could please circulate this to any young people or colleagues who could be interested.
VOLume will be one of 152 projects across the country which will be funded by
v
as part of vinvolved, a new national youth volunteering programme backed by £75 million funding, which aims to inspire half a million more young people to volunteer in England.

VOLume is a huge opportunity for Sound It Out to continue the work begun with young people in the Sandwell area through the Respect programme, and to maintain and strengthen partnerships with the local authorities and services.
